Stifford Clays Primary School

We were asked by our old primary school to transform an exterior walkway connecting the two main buildings. This walkway has been neglected for over a decade, the plastic panels were tired, badly scratched and sun damaged. We proposed to install hardwood panels to hide the plastic, this would then be painted by ourselves. The mural displays the journey from nursery to year 6, showcasing important parts of the curriculum. From phonics to natural disasters, this mural brightens up a neglected but much used space!

‘Learning today, leading tomorrow’

Phase 2 of this project involved lengthening the mural even further by another 6 panels. Showcasing the school’s logos and moto, ‘Learning today, leading tomorrow’, along with four figures of children dressed as professionals; scientists and police officers.

This mural is playful and bright, making a dull area of the school fun and colourful. All staff and pupils love the new walkway, especially the ones in the class rooms which now look out onto it.
